FIRE: EPILOGUE
Tonight the Full Moon illuminates the passage of FIRE, installed moments before the New Moon.
Six pomegranate seeds.
Six for the Lovers.
Six for the meeting and merging of Upper and Lower Worlds.
Six for the sixth of January when you attended the 25th anniversary party of Redtape magazine at Tribes Gallery. There you came full circle -- reuniting with Jim C., the East Village anthropologist you interviewed for EAST VILLAGE USA and Thaddeus Rutkowski, the rising literary star who became the first visitor to FIRE!
Six for the Philosopher's Stone. Six for the hermaphrodite, the integration of masculine and feminine.
Six for the union with the Beloved, which would not have happened if on January 6 on your passage through the East Village you tangoed with spark, flame and fire!
You remember what you wrote: "A spark flies. A flame. Buenos Aires is on fire!” And in the window of FIRE, you placed flaming red Epilogue, written in the very same Avenue D apartment building with the fire engine red door where you stepped into the crossfire of EAST VILLAGE USA ten years later. A full circle made in the same epicenter of Alphabet Land where the fire...
...has been spent...
The only sign you needed that the journey was at an end were the six uneaten pomegranate seeds on the white plate of the elder, the only man, a 90 year old artist, at a dinner to greet the New Year, 2007. This was the man whose son was sacrificed at the begining of the journey, in 1997, the last time Venus changed direction prior to your natal Venus position.
Six seeds as a reminder of a cycle into Matter completed and an evolution back to Spirit begun.
Six months underground completed when Venus appeared on the horizon on the Winter Solstice 2006 and six pomegranate seeds on the plate of the father of the sacrificial son to greet her.
Six months in the East Village, from the longest day of the year to the shortest day of the year. You performed SURRENDER at on New Year’s Eve, your mother’s dinner party, attended by you and your sister, another mother/daughter, the artist and his wife and an Aquarian woman. You read the poem and everyone cheered; on some level they knew you were telling their personal story in the universal myth of the female spirit liberated at last from exile...
...Persephone breaking free of the grip Pluto forever and ever...
Six seeds! “SUR-REN-DER” you cried in a voice originating deep in your spine. No loudspeaker necessary to alert your audience of Her return. SURRENDER you barked in the voice of Pluto, that Lady Killer! And who left you a sign but the father whose son was sacrificed following that winter of the Descent in Aquarius, the constellation where Venus greeted the Moon on January 20, 2007 and you welcomed the Aquarian Age goddess into the LAB with M.P.'s ritual ceremony!
The number six signifies dualism, the union of Fire and Water, elements when properly combined gives rise to the human soul.
And Water is where you ultimately SURRENDER.
The journey is over, yet just begun. This was the message of the six seeds left on the white plate of the elder.
Six for the Lovers. Six for your January 24 birthday. Six for the geometry of the hieros gamos -- the six pointed Seal of Solomon appearing in the sky during your solar return on January 23, 1997 --alerting you to your role in the creation of a new myth.
Six for completion of a cycle.
Yet, after each stage of the alchemical experiment...
...there is death.
And so, you must die anew!
